Amidst the whirl of DC Films news being released today, Wonder Woman(Wonder Woman 1984) new sequel’s title reveal has taken the limelight. Moreover, now we’re starting to hear stories about the Wonder Woman 2 villain Cheetah played by Kristen Wiig.

Details About Wonder Woman 2 Villain Cheetah

Vulture reporter Kyle Buchanan revealed some new specifics about the role Cheetah(Wonder Woman 2 Villain) played by Kristen Wiig who will be going AGAINST Wonder Woman in its sequel. But, the two would be close friends.“Since today is a good day for WONDER WOMAN scoops, I’ve heard that Kristen Wiig starts the sequel as Diana’s friend, not her foe”, Buchanan wrote on Twitter. “She emulates Wonder Woman, then seeks to usurp her.”

After the announcement of Cheetah being the villain, since there have been multiple emphases of the villain, fans are wondering about the approach that the director Patty would take to Cheetah(Wonder Woman 2 Villain). It sounds like the character’s role will be the one that has appeared most frequently in the modern comics, especially in Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp’s Rebirth storyline. Barbara Minerva (played by Kristen Wiig) was an archaeologist who was recently declared as the Diana Prince, who is cursed by the god Urzkartaga(to make her transform into Cheetah). But she blames Diana for her transformation and hence become one of Wonder Woman’s greatest foe.

As Buchanan himself states, this is information he’s heard about the film’s production, and it could be twisted, but it’s probably the best way to move forward and take advantage of her(Kristen Wiig) comedic skills and charm while also making her the film’s big villain. It would be surprising if Jenkins went in some other direction. This just one of the big stories for the sequel to last summer’s blockbuster Wonder Woman. More stories are about to come for Wonder Woman 1984.

Moreover, images have come from the set of the sequel where Diana is standing in front of a wall of old monitors displaying images from the 80s, including the TV series Dallas and the film National Lampoon’s Vacation. She seems to be in shock, slightly confused at the displays much like how she responded to the view of historic London during the time of World War I.

Hopefully, we learn more about the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, next month during San Diego Comic-Con. Wonder Woman 1984, drops on November 1, 2019.
