Xioami launched the Black Shark smartphone last year which was a gaming-centric device with a powerful processor and other awesome features. The smartphone was not a big success as compared to other Xiaomi smartphones, which hinted that the Chinese smartphone maker will discontinue the Black Shark lineup. But the post on Chinese social media site Weibo by Wang Teng Thomas, Xiaomi Product Director suggested the next generation Xiaomi Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone is launching soon.
In the Weibo post, Wang mentioned that he has tried the new generation Black Shark device, and used phrases like “full of personality, very cool” and “too fast” for the device. According to us, the new device could be the same, which appeared online on the Geekbench site, which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with a massive 8GB and 10GB RAM to achieve the score of 3,494 points in the single-core test and 11,149 points in the multi-core test.
For now, the other specifications of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 are unknown, other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a 10GB RAM we are expecting specs like 5.99-inch screen, liquid cooling system, and a powerful 4000mAh battery. Also, Wang didn’t mention about the date for the launch of the upcoming device, but we are expecting the device to get official launch in the upcoming event MWC 2019, where many more devices with SD 855 will be launching officially for the consumers.
