Xiaomi has scheduled a global product launch event in Madrid, Spain on July 24
and Xiaomi Mi A2 is hoped to Launch at the event. A lite version of Mi A2 is also expected to debut along with the regular variant. Both the smartphone will be the of mid-range and are listed on Polish retail website which also Reveals a few specifications and also the design.
In a listing on Polish online retailer X-Com’s portal, the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite have been listed. While the images from these listings seem to have been taken down, Slashleaks has obtained the renders. The most interesting thing is about the design of the Mi A2 Lite resembles recently launched Redmi 6 Pro. Both smartphones as seen in the images likely to have the same a 5.84-inch 19:9 notch display, and a similar antenna placed on the back panel. The smartphone will be backed up by a 4,000mAh battery and will house Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.
Falling in line with Slashleaks post, the Mi A2 Lite will be equipped by a vertically stacked camera setup with a 12-megapixel camera as the primary sensor and a 5-megapixel camera as a secondary sensor. On the front, there will be a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear panel, in the render, has Android One branding. It is likely that the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite might just be a refreshed Android One variant of the Redmi 6 Pro.
As per the listing from Poland, both the 32GB and the 64GB variant of the Mi A2 Lite have been given the same price tag of PLN 999 which approximately equals to Rs. 18,400.
As per details that have been surfaced online in the past few weeks, Mi A2 might be an Android One-based rebranded version of the Mi 6X. It is expected to feature a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and no display notch. It will likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage.
