The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has finally launched the third generation of the flagship Mix series, it’s the new Mi Mix 3 in an event in Beijing. The most notable feature of the all new Mi Mix 3 is the magnetic sliding front camera module, with dual camera setup on both the side and a beautiful full display design with no bezel and notch in the front display. The design of the new Mix 3 inspired by the previously launched Oppo Find X, which has the most innovative smartphone design. And already gave way for design of the Honor Magic 2 and now we have the Mi Mix 3 with same inspired design.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Specifications –
Talking about the Mi Mix 3 specification, the device features a OLED display of 6.4-inch size of tall display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a full-HD+ resolution (1080×2340 pixels). The full display design of Mi Mix 3 offers a whopping 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The device looks really great with continuing the legacy of full display. The smartphone will be available in three beautiful colors – Onyx Black, Jade Green, and Sapphire Blue colour options
The device runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with the support of MIUI 10 on the board. Also, the device is powered by the flagship grade Snapdragon 845 processor which is paired with RAM up to 10GB and coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. Also, the device is powered by a 3,850mAh battery with 10W Qi wireless charging support.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Camera Specifications –
Camera is another interesting part about the Mi Mix 3. The device features dual camera module on both the sides. At the back, the vertical camera module features a 12MP wide angle Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixels and with dual-pixel tech as we have seen in the Poco F1 for better shots in dark lighting and also a 12MP Samsung S5K3M3+ sensor with a f/2.4 aperture and 1-micron pixels.
For selfies, there is a dual camera setup as well, which hides under the screen with the movable module, which can be controlled manually whenever needed. For video calling and selfies, there is a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor with 1.8-micron pixels, and a secondary 2MP sensor for taking portrait mode selfies, with selfie flash support. The rear camera comes with dual LED flash, OIS, EIS, and also supports slow-mo videos at 960fps.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 price and availability –
Talking about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 price, the price for the device starts at CNY 3,299 ( around Rs. 34,800) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 3,599 ( around Rs. 37,900) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB option, and CNY 3,999 ( around Rs. 42,100) for the 8GB RAM + 256B RAM storage. And both the variants will go on sale in November where the pre-orders has already been started.
Xiaomi also introduced the special variant of Mi Mix 3 called ‘Palace Museum’ which comes with special design and accessories and features 10GB RAM with 256GB of storage, and it is priced at CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 52,700), and will go on sale near the end of November.
There is no official information about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 India launch, but we are expecting it to be in the month November.
