Xiaomi Mi Music, Mi Video Apps !!

Xiaomi is quite frequent in launching its products and services, recently we have seen that the Xiaomi has launched its First Gaming SmartPhone – the Black Shark and also the Mi earphones and now the company has launched Mi Video and Mi Music apps for free to stream music and videos in India.The company told that the new Mi Music app will be available from today, while the Mi Video app will be available from next week.

Mi Video includes a couple of streaming services under a hood, namely, SonyLIV, Hungama Play, Voot, AltBalaji, Zee5, Viu, and TVF, among others. Xiaomi claims that Mi Video app houses more than 500,000 hours of watching content and 80 percent of which is free. On the Other hand, Music on the Mi Music app will be powered by Hungama Music, which includes more than 10 million free songs and in 13 different languages. However, if you want to download songs for offline listening, you’ll need to pay Rs. 899 a year for Hungama Pro.

Mi Music app and Mi Video app features:

  • Dynamic Lyrics: This feature is similar to LiveLyrics on SoundHound, which highlights the lyrics for the song currently being played.
  • Mi Video includes a one-tap cast function so you can quickly switch from watching on your phone to a smart TV, with support for DLNA and Miracast.
  • MI video app includes Support for more local formats including AVI, MP4, MOV, MKV, MKA, MPEG, and M2TS, in addition, to support for multi-language subtitles, multiple audio tracks, and private folders.

Also, Xiaomi said in future it will include personalised recommendations, picture in picture (PiP) mode, languages and genre filter for Mi Video, and themes for Mi Music.
