Chinese tech maker, Xiaomi finally launched the Mi Pad 4 after teasing it a couple of times on its official Weibo account and also unveiling the device specs before the official launch. Mi Pad 4 Design & Display
The new Mi Pad 4 comes with a bigger display, that is, the 8-inches of display, the previous installment in the Mi Pad series, that is the Mi Pad 3 featured a 7.9-inches of display, so the screen size increased a little, but overall the size is bigger. But amazingly the new Mi Pad 4 looks so compact and sleek. Xiaomi increased the screen size, but the resolution of the new Mi Pad 4 remains 1920 x 1200 pixels only with a pixel density of 283pi, which is low, in our views. That may be a little drawback for you if the display resolution is your preference.
According to Xiaomi, the new tablet comes with a smaller body, to make it much easier to manage and hold. The dimensions say all, that is, 200.2 x 120.3 x 7.9mm and it weighs 342.5gms, and whereas, the previous Mi Pad 3 had bigger dimensions, that is, 200.4 x 132.6 x 7mm. The new Mi Pad comes with a different screen ratio, that is, 16:10. The new Mi Pad 4 will be available only in two color variant, that is, Black and Gold.
Mi Pad 4 Specs
The new Mi Pad 4 will be running on Android-based MIUI 9 and will be powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC clocked up to 2,2GHz, which makes Xiaomi the first device to feature it. The processor will be coupled with RAM which is available in two options, that is, 3GB or 4GB. The storage options also come in two options, that is, 32GB or 64GB and can’t be extended using a microSD card.
In the camera department, Mi Pad 4 doesn’t have some special mentions. The rear has a 13MP f/2.0 camera sensor with the support of HDR and beauty mode. And at the front, it has a 5MP f/2.0 camera sensor that supports the AI face recognition, as Xiaomi teased earlier. The new tablet comes with a 6000mAh battery, which will last long a day easily.
There is a USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi for connectivity. The LTE model has GPS and a nano-SIM slot.
Mi Pad 4 Price and Availability
The Mi Pad 4 comes in black and gold. The 3GB and 32GB WiFi model is priced at ¥1099 (~$169 or Rs. 11.500 ) while the 4GB RAM + 64GB version is ¥1399 (~$215 or Rs. 14,600). For ¥1499 (~$230 or Rs. 15,600 ), you can pick up the 4GB + 64GB WiFi and LTE model. Reservations for the first sale on Friday, June 29 are now open with no more information on the Mi Pad 4 India launch.
