TVF’s latest wistful show Yeh Meri Family opens to a star-studded event in Mumbai with a grand response. Tvf organised a screening event for its latest nostalgic 90’s series Yeh Meri Family in Delhi and Mumbai which received a laudable response by the viewers and celebrated names like Zakir Khan, Udit Narayan, Raghu Ram, Shikha Talsania, Naveen Kasturia, Amol Parashar, Akarsh Khurana and Kailash Kher have embellished the event by their presence.
Yeh Meri Family follows a 7-episode narrative told from Harshu’s perspective. The story is set in the Gupta household over the summer vacations of 1998 and each episode revolves around a specific relationship with a character in the family. The first two episodes will revolve around Harshu (Vishesh Bansal) and his experiences during summer vacations, especially around tuition classes and his school crush, Vidya. Adding to the nostalgia, the second episode of the show highlights how mothers strive to make their kid’s birthday the most special day of the year for them. The series features Mona Singh as peculiar 90’s mom and an apple of everybody’s eye, Vishesh Bansal as Harshu- a 12-year-old quick-witted boy, Ahaan Nirban as Dabbu – a 15-year-old Adarsh beta and Ruhi Khan as Chitti- a 5-year-old sweet girl. Every character makes the family and its dramedy alive in their own way. Tvf has aired two episodes of its riveting series and the can be enjoyed here: https://tvfplay.com/episode/1/
Sameer Saxena, TVF’s Chief Content Officer and Head – TVF Originals said, “Yeh Meri Family is very close to our hearts. In the first episode, our protagonist Vishesh Bansal will make everyone reminisce about their childhood days. His character ‘Harshu’ will definitely touch viewers’ hearts with his innocent and honest portrayal of a middle child. I am really overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from all quarters for our show and look forward to viewers’ response.”
The writer of ‘Yeh Meri Family’, Saurabh Khurana said, “I hope the love we received during the screening also finds extension on TVFPlay. It’s difficult to write for an Indian middle-class family and keep it real as one does not find dramatic conflicts in such families. We hope everyone finds a shade of their mom, dad and siblings in the characters of the show. It was cathartic to see the audience receive our show very well and applaud at every line at the premiere of the show in Delhi and Mumbai. It made the effort of writing and re-rewriting fruitful.”
Sandeep Walunj, Member of the Financial Literacy Committee of Association of Mutual Funds in India(AMFI) and CMO Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management Company said “At Mutual Funds Sahi Hai, we are delighted to work with The Viral Fever once again on this trip down the nostalgia lane. TVF has time and again proven their storytelling skills, and this time, Sameer and the team have created a gem with Yeh Meri Family. Not only do they have a great script and amazing performances, the skilful integration of the mutual funds message in the narrative fits perfectly with our strategy of investor education. With original shows like these, the future of digital entertainment, and branded content is bright and in safe hands.”
