ZEE5 movie 377 अब Normal is a blend of emotions, love, and pain that LBGT goes through. The movie director Faruk Kabir has pulled a great job where he has rightfully presented each character and made it shine.
The story of377 अब Normal narrates the story of five petitioners who challenged Section 377. The movie displays how often a gay person faces difficulties in his or her teenage life where he/she is struggling to accept his identity as the perspective for gay people was not so friendly in our Indian society.
The movie lead character Shashank Arora snatched the screen with his wonderful and intriguing performance. The role of Arif played by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub lits up the screen with his intense and subtle craft. As the movie plot is based on a true story, he portrayed the role of Arif Zafar who was an LGBT activist and was arrested in 2001 under Section 377. He spent 47 days in prison. His case became so popular that it surged a movement and revolution in India against Section 377 where many petitions were filed in several courts and finally after many revisions, the final historical judgement was made by the honourable Supreme Court of India.

The struggles of the LGBT community have been displayed so beautifully in this movie which will move you from inside and make you feel the suffering they have gone through in all these years.
Maanvi Gagroo as Shalmili is superb in her character, and veteran actress Tanvi Azmi played the role of Shamli’s mother in the movie.
In the movie, we get to see the struggles of five different people and their fight to breathe in a relaxing atmosphere where being gay is not criminalized by society.
377 अब Normal – Is it worth a watch?
Absolutely yes, watching the series will ignite humanity in us and make us think that every individual has the right to live the life in his own way and taboos of society can hinder the individuality of a person. All the characters have given their best in terms of acting, but Shashank Arora shines above all else.
